Keira Knightley Not Face of Tom Ford - Exclusive!
Call off the hounds! Keira Knightley is not the face of Tom Ford womenswear, the label tells FashionEtc.
After the British beauty posed in Ford's designs in the March issue of Elle U.K., several outlets reported she had scored a deal working with the designer for a lengthy six-year stretch.
Not so, a spokesperson tells us.
“Keira is just modeling the collection for the first time in six years," the Tom Ford spokesperson says. “She is not the new face of the brand.”
Blame wordplay for the confusion. Elle U.K. had noted that Knightley was modeling Ford's first womenswear collection for six years—meaning his first collection since 2004, not that she would be modeling for Ford for six years.
Still, Ford has nothing but love for the Oscar-nominated starlet.
“I absolutely love Keira,” he told Elle U.K.
“She is spectacular, very professional, and I love her spirit. She’s beautiful in an English way; she has a little 1940s feel to her face—yet at the same time she always looks so young and modern.”
