Kendall Jenner Covers TeenProm, Talks Catwalk Nerves and Stealing Kardashian Sisters’ Style
Is too much Kardashian ever enough? (Don't answer that.)
While her older half sisters are fronting the January issue of Glamour, 16-year-old Kendall Jenner is pulling her weight by covering TeenPROM's 2012 issue.
Modeling a strapless and sparkly blue Terani Couture minidress ("the color's pretty and the designs are cute," she says in a behind-the-scenes video), the budding jewelry designer opens up about looking up to Kim, Khloe and Kourtney for fashion tips.
"My three older sisters inspire me the most," the White Sands model says, adding that the trio also urges her not to take online criticism to heart. “I pull [my style] from each of them."
The Kardashians also offered their support when Kendall made her runway début at the Sherri Hill show during New York Fashion Week.
"I was really, really nervous and scared,” she says of her catwalk moment.
“I was like, ‘What if my walk isn’t right?’ [My sisters] told me, ‘You’ll be fine, you’ll do great,’ and that made me feel so much better. They said, ‘Be you, have fun with it, be confident.’ Once I got out there, I felt more comfortable. When the lights are up, you can’t really see the audience, which made it a little better. I had a lot of fun. I want to do it again.”
And like a true Kardashian, she's also growing more comfortable with living in front of a lens.
"I used to be really shy around the cameras when we started filming,” she admits. “But I think [younger sister] Kylie and I are both used to it now. It’s normal for us.”
The Zoey Grossman-photographed shoot also sees Kendall posing in a one-shoulder black and white body-con, a violet sequined gown with a dramatic slit, and a black strapless number with a ruffled train.
Oh, and boys? She says her ideal prom date would be someone cute and funny. Have at it!
