Amy Adams Covers InStyle, Talks Muffin Tops and Motherhood
Don't be fooled by Amy Adams's utterly gorgeous cover for the December issue of InStyle, she says.
Though the Oscar nominee—up next in The Muppets—exudes sexiness with her Valentino halter-neck dress, Tiffany & Co. drop earrings, and tousled copper waves, she claims motherhood has taken its toll on her looks.
“I read about these actresses who get on a stationary bike two weeks after giving birth and I’m like, ‘What? Where did you push your baby out of?,'" she tells the magazine. "Since having Aviana, I have a muffin top, and that’s OK right now.”
We'll have to take her word for it, we guess, as the actress' accompanying photo shoot with lensman Vincent Peters is anything but dowdy as she rocks a cream Calvin Klein Collection jacket with dangling Fallon Swarovski crystal, pearl, and brass earrings as well as winged eyeliner.
Adams also says that having a child has changed more than just whether or not she can fit into skinny jeans.
"I’m definitely not one of those women who make it look easy," she says. "But I’m more patient than I ever thought I would be, and I’m not hard on myself anymore.”
Good. So stop sweating those muffin tops, ladies!
