Amy Adams's hair at the 22nd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala was polished and glamorous—very "done"—but she wore it entirely loose, a combination hardly ever seen in these days of modern and messy manes.
And it was old-school glamorous, though not some madly coiled updo fit for the prom.
The key is how it was neatly brushed back to show off her face—much the way updos do—and coaxed gently over Adams's ears to highlight $70,000 sparkling platinum and diamond orchid earrings from Cartier. Then, each strand tumbled in perfect, swaying unison down Adams's back.
Though you couldn't see a hint of hairspray, we're sure a lot of it was used for The Fighter star's coif. Thankfully, the result was anything but stiff.
