It’s time to upgrade those flimsy wire coat hangers you’ve got stuffed in your closet to something more substantial. When it comes to the offerings on display at Milan Fashion Week, we're officially in the heavyweight class.

Flimsy little slip dresses? Keep ‘em. This season, more is more. Coats encrusted with oversize gemstones, ornate embroideries, and all manner of over-the-top embellishments reigned in the Italian fashion capital, from Prada’s stone-studded coats to Dolce & Gabbana’s gold, gold, and more gold.
