Kelly Clarkson is a girl after our own heart.
The singer ponied up £152,000 (that's over $243,000, folks) for a ring once worn by the British writer Jane Austen at auction.
She also won a first edition of the 1817 book, "Persuasion," but Clarkson is forbidden to leave the country, where she's on tour, with the ring.
"We put in an export request but I can't take it out of the UK as they've named it a national treasure," she tells the Daily Star.
Bummer, but she does have a nice consolation.
"I had my sister with me and we went to Derbyshire to see where the version of 'Pride and Prejudice' featuring Keira Knightley was filmed," she tells of her extracurricular jaunts around England.
Do you need a roadie, Kelly?
