We at FashionEtc can't get enough of reviews. So we've combed our wide-reaching network of friends to get their takes on the collections. In this installment, stylist Rory McDonough runs through the shows he's attended so far this Fashion Week.

If it was less ebullient than some of Peter Som’s past shows, it made up for it in sophistication. Som took a streamlined often monochromatic tack with his Fall 2012 collection, instead playing with texture and architectural lines.

Move over tangerine. There's a new color in town and it's a little moody. The Fall 2012 collections showcased darker colors (no surprise there) but one hue stood out the most, even after just four days of runway shows: oxblood red.

The DKNY show was easily one of the best shows the brand has done in seasons. For a while now, the DKNY girl's wardrobe has grown more sophisticated, more grown up. And this time around, she can rival her older sister's Donna Karan pieces.
