The DKNY show was easily one of the best shows the brand has done in seasons. For a while now, the DKNY girl's wardrobe has grown more sophisticated, more grown up. And this time around, she can rival her older sister's Donna Karan pieces.

The Fall 2012 collection was full of molded jackets and coats with leather sleeves, piping, and wide, obi-esque leather belts. If any fabric was a focal point, it was leather. "Leather rules in everything…" the show notes proclaimed. And it did. Skirts came flared and embossed. Jackets were moto, blazers, boxy—all lending a tough-girl edge.

But this wasn't all biker gang gorgeousness. Fall florals (which we can't get enough of), animal print, turtlenecks and flared skirts kept the look on the feminine side. A floral suit in wool was just plain fun.

The real highlights were the shearling coats, which at first glance looked like fur. They were absolutely gorgeous in grey and oxblood.

We heard more than one editor praise the collection along with us—we can't wait to see everyone wearing this come Fall.
