Taking a back seat to the hair and makeup entourages at fashion week, the nail teams have been quickly becoming a focal point of the backstage beauty scene in recent seasons.
With statement nails making their mark on the entertainment industry and having a major moment at the 2012 London Olympics, they have been a popular focus during the Spring 2013 runway shows.
Although they've nails have take center stage at the recent shows, the actual polish shades couldn't be more subdued.

Nudes and light hues are dominating, yet don't be fooled, these neutral polishes aren't the ballet slipper pale pink we've been wearing for decades, however, the soft shades are presenting themselves as a collection of power nudes.
During New York Fashion Week, Katie Hughes, Global Color Ambassador for butter LONDON, did natural nails at The Row, Altuzarra, Band of Outsiders and BROOD.
A soft pink-grey at Theory and cream at Thakoon, while Europe jumped on the nail train with barely-there hues at Topshop Unique, Preen and Dolce & Gabbana.
