‘Hunger Games’ Nail Polish Ad Stars Effie Trinket
We knew Katniss Everdeen was too tough to bother with her nails.
Pink-haired District 12 escort Effie Trinket—played by Elizabeth Banks—has been revealed as the official face of China Glaze’s Hunger Games nail polish.
In the just-released ad for the lacquers, which will hit stores in March, Banks poses in all her girlie glory, complete with hot pink cupid’s bow lipstick and elaborate butterfly lashes.
And though Effie represents District 12, the Capitol Colours collection consists of a polish for each of the 12 districts, “allowing citizens to show their solidarity and support for a favorite tribute by wearing the color associated with their district,” a press release for the campaign reads.
