Nicki Minaj for OPI: Super-Bass Shatter, Did It On 'Em, and Fly

She's already secured a gig as MAC's new Viva Glam spokesmodel. Now singer Nicki Minaj is poised to take the world of nail polish by storm.

Launching in January 2012, the Nicki Minaj for OPI collection is just the sort of thing one might expect from a gal known for sporting hair with candy-hued color blocking and the occasional leopard spot: bold, sassy, and utterly irresistible.

“OPI is so excited to work with Nicki in releasing these six new nail lacquers,” says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, in a press statement. “Nicki has taken the hip hop world by storm, but her music is only part of the equation. She’s also become a fashion inspiration, noted for her daring costumes and hair color both on and off the stage.”

The six limited-edition shades, $8.50 a pop, include the purple, graffiti-inspired Super-Bass Shatter, plus the sparkly charcoal Metallic 4 Life; the glittery rainbow Save Me; the intense aqua Fly; and the spotlight-stealing lime Did It On 'Em.

And you knew there had to be a Pink Friday in there somewhere. Minaj's hit album lends its title to a pretty pink polish that should be a nice complement to a certain MAC lipstick.

Now, how long do you think we'll have to wait for a matching blush?
