Leighton Meester’s Vera Wang Lovestruck Commercial
Her small screen alter ego Blair Waldorf may have a soft spot for European princes, but Leighton Meester happily settles for a more low-maintenance sort of wooing in the new commercial for Vera Wang's Lovestruck fragrance (check out the print campaign).
In a scene echoing the end of Pretty Woman, Meester—looking gorgeous in tousled waves and a strapless purple gown—perches on a fire escape as her bouquet-laden beau climbs his way up.
The Missoni campaign star greets her handsome co-star, who flings his colorful batch of blooms overboard, with a warm embrace. Aw, we love a good fairy-tale ending.
And from the sounds of it, the actress enjoyed her view from the top.
“I was above it all, literally,” Meester told Women's Wear Daily of the ad, which was shot by Carter Smith in New York City last winter. “So I was just kind of entertaining myself—I did a little singing, did a little dance.”
