Tiffany & Co. Celebrates True Love with the Sartorialist and Garance Doré
Whether it’s a range of Paloma Picasso hearts or those legendary engagement rings, Tiffany & Co. knows true love.
And while some may think that a well-placed diamond says it all when it comes to the subject, a picture is still worth a thousand words.
The jeweler tapped Garance Doré and her boyfriend, the Sartorialist’s Scott Schuman, to snap a series of photos of couples in love for the brand’s True Love in Pictures gallery, which was celebrated January 25 with an elegant event at the Tiffany & Co. flagship store.
While Solange Knowles helmed the turntables—yes, at least one Beyoncé song was played, in case you were wondering—and guests like Jenna Lyons, Piper Perabo, Pamela Love, and Charlotte Ronson had their own pictures snapped in a Tiffany Blue photo booth, FashionEtc caught up with Schuman about working with his own love.
“There’s a tenderness that we wanted to bring to [the images]—a smallness,” he told us.
“Love’s not about big, grand gestures. That’s what we tried to capture. It’s coffee cups, her [Doré] reading to me in the car, little things.”
As for his favorite of the blue-washed images?
“I love the one of the guys on the bike, Andi and Jordan,” Schuman said.
“They’re a beautiful couple and very much in love. You can tell when people enjoy each other’s company. There’s calmness.”
