Jessica Alba Hosts Rimowa Store Opening in Beverly Hills
It may have been a Monday night for the rest of the world, but any night offers a great excuse to go out in L.A., as was proven on May 16 when a cheerful, bright crowd packed the newly opened Rimowa store on Rodeo Drive. The party was hosted by Rimowa CEO Dieter Morszeck, and a beautifully glowing and visibly pregnant Jessica Alba, dressed head-to-toe in Lanvin.
Alba, who recently returned from a trip to Mexico with her family, happily staked loyalty to her favorite travel luggage. "I absolutely love the polycarbonate line; it's perfect and indestructible. If you're a guy, you look tough, and if you're a girl, you look cool," she told FashionEtc. "It's understated and a mixture of masculine and feminine."
And like any good traveler, Alba brings along a good read when she goes on the road. "I just finished the Patti Smith book [Just Kids], and it was great!" she added.
Stylists and editors joined celebrities including Eric Bana, Billy Zane, Brad Goreski, and Amy Smart in celebrating the world-renowned luggage brand. With classic drinks like sidecars and mint juleps being mixed alongside new-school tunes by DJ Donovan Leitch (think Coconut Records, MGMT, and a whole Coachella roundup), it was the perfect blend of old and new.
