Amanda Brooks has been named the new fashion director of Barneys New York.
Barneys New York has finally found its new fashion director: Vogue contributor Amanda Brooks, WWD reports.
Brooks replaces Julie Gilhart, who was let go from the retailer at the end of November.
The succession is the latest in a series of changes at Barneys, including the departure of Judy Collinson (replaced by former Gucci exec Daniella Vitale) and former W creative director Dennis Freedman replacing Simon Doonan. Doonan is still an ambassador-at-large for the retailer.
Brooks has served as the muse and creative director of Tuleh and creative director of Hogan.
