Supermodel Brooklyn Decker did a little spring cleaning, ditching 10 inches from her luscious golden hair in favor of a wispy new above-the-shoulder bob.
“Chopped my hair OFF today!! Thank you!! I love!!” she tweeted on March 22, posting a photo of herself with the dudes behind her new ’do, hairstylist Ted Gibson and colorist Jason Backe.
“Shorter hair can be sexy, confident and super modern, and I think hair that is too long isn’t chic or fashionable right now,” Gibson, who styled Decker at the W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he is opening a salon this summer, told People.
To prep Decker for the sunnier seasons, Backe switched up her monochromatic color by using L’Oréal Professionnel’s INOA to add low lights and highlights, reports Us Weekly.
Despite being unable to donate her snipped strands to Locks of Love (“I wanted to! But my hair was colored so I couldn’t,” Decker explained on her Twitter page), the former Sports Illustrated cover girl couldn’t be more thrilled with her new lighter look.
“Thumbs up!” she tweeted.
