Jennifer Aniston’s Bob Haircut Inspiration
Credit Camille Grammer for Jennifer Aniston’s new 'do. The former Friends star’s longtime hairstylist, Chris McMillan, says he’s all about the bob these days because he’s tired of the long, layered cuts he sees on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“I’m loving bobs again. I love the girl in the YSL ads. It’s a sexy look,” McMillan tells Allure. “The reason that I’m loving a bob at the moment … There are so many long, layered hairstyles and—don’t get me wrong, I love that. But The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills all have that. You know what I mean? And what’s the opposite direction you can go in?”
Of course, that’s not to say McMillan doesn’t appreciate the women on the reality series. “They all have that natural, piecey hair. It’s nice to take the extensions out of the hair and do something more natural,” he says. “It’s gotten out of hand. But I can’t stop watching it.”
McMillan adds that Aniston’s angled “hairline bob” was actually inspired by Vidal Sassoon haircuts and Julie Christie from the 1975 movie Shampoo.
“It was just time for a change,” he says of switching up her style. “We had a blast doing it.”
Bravo, Chris! Bravo!
