La Perla names Pedro Lourenço new Creative Director
Get ready for La Perla to take a Brazilian turn! It was just announced that Pedro Lourenço is the brand’s new Creative Director.
Lourenço will oversee all of La Perla’s collections – lingerie, beachwear, sleepwear, accessories, loungewear, men’s, and the exclusive Atelier collection presented at Paris Haute Couture.
“I want to connect the body to the garment,” Lourenço recently told WWD. “The idea is to establish La Perla as a women’s and men’s lifestyle brand.” His plan is to design pieces which can be integrated into daywear.

Lourenço’s appointment takes effect immediately, and his first women’s pieces for La Perla will be shown during Milan Fashion Week next month. Pedro Lourenço will also continue designing women’s wear for his own label, launched in 2010.
