Lori Goldstein Named Fashion Editor-at-Large at Elle
Elle's vacancies are starting to fill up!
After losing half of their editorial staff as well as style director, Kate Lanphear and senior accessories editor, Kate Davidson Hudson earlier this year, Elle is finally announcing new hires.
According to a press release we received today, the Hearst publication has brought in stylist, Lori Goldstein to be the fashion editor-at-large.
They also hired former senior fashion editor of Harper's Bazaar UK, Carmen Borgonovo as consulting editor.
What's curious is that these two positions are fairly new to the fashion world and neither of them are full-time. This means that Goldstein will continue her own styling ventures outside the publication, and Borgonova will remain as editorial director of My-Wardrobe. Suffice it to say, these new hires will certainly help in giving the magazine an extra oomph of taste and style, but they won't necessarily produce the content that goes into the pages like say, an editorial director or market editor...
At the moment there is no announcement of other new hires, but we'll keep you posted!
