Christopher Kane Is Not Headed to Balenciaga
Putting the fashion rumor mill into overdrive once again, Christopher Kane just squashed speculation that he would be succeeding Nicolas Ghesquière as the new creative director at Balenciaga.
"Rumours surrounding Christopher Kane's appointment as creative director of Balenciaga are unfounded," a spokesperson for the designer told Vogue U.K..
After Ghesquière announced that he would be leaving Balenciaga after his 15-year tenure at the French fashion house, rumors started circulating about the next talent to helm the storied brand.
The Scottish-born designer was in the mix along with Alexander Wang, Joseph Altuzarra and Bouchra Jarrar.
