Nina Garcia Named Creative Director at Marie Claire
An industry of constant musical chairs, the latest in magazine moves is Nina Garcia being appointed the Creative Director at Marie Claire.
According to Fashionista and the twitter grapevine, the fashion mag's recently-appointed editor-in-chief, Anne Fulenwider, is bringing Garcia, who previously held the title of style director at the magazine, straight to the top (of the masthead).
Replacing the talented Suzanne Sykes, who left Marie Claire in September to be Creative Director of Elle UK, Garcia is sure to bring her style spunk and fashion expertise to the coveted slot.
A tweet from Abby Gardner, Cosmopolitan‘s current site director, and Marie Claire‘s former site director, said, “Congrats @NinaGarcia, now Creative Director of @MarieClaire!”
