Hedi Slimane Replacing Stefano Pilati at YSL?
Is Stefano Pilati out and Hedi Slimane in at Yves Saint Laurent?
Tweets from Kenzo PR have ignited rumors that Fall 2011 will be Pilati's final collection for YSL before he is replaced with the former Dior Homme creative director, Racked reports.
Though the tweets have since been deleted, a Kenzo publicist revealed, "Just heard BIG news about this being a certain designer at an established French house's last season and being replaced by someone major!"
"CEO has just left and now the designer replaced by someone who has moved away from design the last couple of years but stayed in fashion," the tipster added.
Though it's not the first time Pilati has been rumored to be parting ways with the label, the recent departure of YSL CEO Valérie Hermann may be no coincidence. And given his past tenure at YSL Homme and low-key presence since leaving Dior Homme, Slimane seems to be the person the tweets reference.
