Model Arizona Muse in Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2011 campaign
Has rocking the casbah ever been this chic?
The lush gardens of the 1930s Villa Bled Roknine in Marrakech’s Palmeraie serve as a beautiful backdrop for Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring/Summer 2011 campaign, which stars model Arizona Muse (best name ever?).
Rocking a retro wavy bob and a stunning black gown that drapes over her bare shoulders, Muse looks every inch the vintage bombshell in the ads shot by photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
Creative director Stefano Pilati seems to be paying homage to Yves Saint Laurent himself with the Moroccan location; the designer owned Marrakech’s Majorelle Gardens.
YSL appears to be in good company: The forthcoming Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 campaign was also shot in Marrakech. Do we detect a Sex and the City 2 trend here?
