Dogs Hit the Catwalk for Charity Fashion Show

The fashion world has an undeniable affinity for dogs, so much that the furry four-legged creatures now have their pick of straight-off-the-catwalk canine couture.

From Alexander McQueen who left his fortune to be split between his dogs and family to Cindy Crawford who had a wedding dress designed for one of her Maltese Yorkies, the fashion industry knows how to pamper their pups.

With puppy manicures and doggie daycare during fashion week, the latest in canine news is the 4th annual Charities the Collars & Coats Gala Ball in London on November 8th.

The list of high-profile designers contributing designs to the dogwalk include Giles Deacon, Henry Holland, Stephen Jones, Julien Macdonald, Stella McCartney, Mulberry, Jenny Packham, Gareth Pugh, Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood and more.

All the dog apparel is auctioned off to contribute to the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London to care for unwanted animals.
