Derek Lam Signs Up for Kohl's Collection
There's still more than a month to go before Narciso Rodriguez launches the first DesigNation designer collaboration with Kohl's on November 7, but the retailer is already gearing up for Round Two.
Derek Lam has been tapped as the second designer to create a limited-edition collection for the mass brand, producing a Spring 2013 line inspired by his trip to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in keeping with theme of international influences.
"Rio de Janeiro is a city that bridges the old with the new, where you can't separate what is natural from what is man-made," Lam says in a press statement. "This DesigNation collection with Kohl's serves as an ally to modern women, embracing the spirit of Rio and providing beautiful, inspired clothing at an affordable price."

He's not kidding. The misses' apparel and swimwear range will comprise dresses, outerwear, shirts, tanks, shorts, skirts, capris, and pants priced from just $36 to $98.
The collection will be available from April to May, while additional DesigNation collaborations are planned for later next year. Which globe-trotting fashion guru will wow us next?
