With Lionel Richie as her dad, it's no wonder the reality-star-turned-fashion-designer credits music as her biggest design inspiration. "It takes me to another place and I'm able to escape," the pint-sized designer says in the video above.
Richie, who listens to a wide range of music from Florence and the Machine to Rihanna, says she is especially drawn to '60s and '70s tunes.
Blending a masculine and feminine aesthetic, with a heavy dose of mixing prints, Richie's clothes reflect the 60s and 70s look of boho-chic that defines her own signature style. Faux leather is paired with lace and chiffon for a look that is both edgy and feminine, the essence of Richie's idea of the modern woman.
