Gwen Stefani is Pretty in Pink for Harper’s Bazaar
Gwen Stefani's fondness for pink is no big secret—remember her dip-dyed John Galliano wedding gown? But for the September cover of Harper's Bazaar, the No Doubt frontwoman is seriously putting Molly Ringwald to shame in a corseted Jil Sander gown paired with a rosy Alexis Mabille Couture hat and fuchsia lips. Love!
Terry Richardson shot the cover look, plus an inside fashion spread that sees Stefani modeling looks from The Row, Versace, Oscar de la Renta, and Alexander McQueen, whose plumed, petal-pink ballgown the singer joyously rocks.
“I’ve always been a girl who loves to dress up,” the L.A.M.B. designer confirms. “I already put my makeup on twice today: I put it on to take my kid to school, and then I went home, washed my face, and put it on again to have lunch.”
The L'Oréal Paris frontwoman also admits that she wears makeup a lot because husband Gavin Rossdale likes it, while working out (we've all seen those rock-hard abs) is all about her.

"It's more for my brain than it is for my body," she says, adding that being able to wear a sample size is an extra incentive to stay trim. "I like to wear clothes too much, so I try to keep focused."
Hey, no pain, no Prada! Speaking of which, the pop star's first designer dress was a Prada number which she trusted to a roadie she'd hired as a stylist.
"He took my first Prada dress, which Gavin had bought for me, the first designer piece I ever owned, and he washed it, and it came back this big," she says of the shrunken garment.
At least the lady has her beauty routine well under control. "I remember feeling like, 'I have arrived,'" she says of coloring her now-famous locks platinum blonde at age 25, adding that she looks to another iconic blonde for beauty tips.
"Well, I heard she [Marilyn Monroe] did hers with a Q-tip every 10 days, so I try to follow Marilyn's rule," she says of her coloring process. "And you'll never see me with roots either."
