Gucci, Lanvin, and McQueen—oh my!

After recruiting Drew Barrymore for last year's Hollywood-inspired campaign, Neiman Marcus is letting the designer clothes speak for themselves with their absolutely gorgeous Fall 2012 The Art of Fashion ads photographed by Erik Madigan Heck.

Spanning 27 pages and due to be published in the retailer's "The Book" publication this September, the shoot reveals one glamorous, color-saturated image after the next. Sarah Burton's rose-embellished gown and sci-fi visor for Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 are presented on a bed of vibrant flowers, while a beautiful peacock is the perfect complement to Gucci's feathered cape.

Designs from Tom Ford, Lanvin, Chanel, Burberry, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Fendi, The Row, Céline, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Etro, Akris, Alaïa Paris, Proenza Schouler, Haider Ackermann, Jason Wu, Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Charlotte Olympia, and Nancy Gonzalez are also featured. A trio of films is also set to be released.

"We wanted to pair up this season’s exquisite fashions with a true creative visionary,” says Eddie Nunns, Vice President, Neiman Marcus Brand Creative, of Heck, who is the youngest photographer to shoot the campaign. “Eric Madigan Heck’s work blurs the lines between photography and art, and through his illustrative approach he created stunning images that differentiate this campaign from any other.”

We'll say. Pass us the X-Acto blade and some picture frames—we've got some art to hang!
