Marion Cotillard Covers Vogue

Marion Cotillard fronts Vogue's August issue.

Marion Cotillard has been on quite the cover streak lately (see: Hollywood Reporter, WSJ. Magazine, Vogue Paris), so it's only natural that Vogue too would succumb to her Parisian charms.

The star of The Dark Knight Rises is regal in a quilted velvet Burberry Prorsum coat for her August cover shoot with lensman Peter Lindbergh, who also captures her in a velvet embroidered tulle McQ Alexander McQueen gown and a blood-red Ralph Lauren Collection suit made from (you guessed it) velvet.

Lest she be accused of playing favorites with her fabric choices, the Lady Dior frontwoman also poses in an off-the-shoulder silk chiffon blouse from Salvatore Ferragamo paired with a Maison Michel trilby, looking every inch the "Superwoman" director Christopher Nolan considers her to be. After directing the Oscar winner in Inception, Nolan pushed back his production schedule so that Cotillard could star in The Dark Knight Rises after giving birth to son Marcel.

Between motherhood, her fashion commitments, and a demanding film career, Cotillard admits that she's got a lot on her plate.

"I’ve never been more exhausted," she tells the magazine. "But I’ve never had more energy. This is the paradox of being happy. That’s where it comes from.”
