Manolo Blahnik’s J. Crew Collection Will Not Be Produced
Waiting with bated breath for the Manolo Blahnik shoes from J. Crew’s Fall 2012 collection to hit stores? We’re afraid we’ve got some bad news.
A spokesperson for Blahnik confirmed to FashionEtc that the colorful, pointy pumps will not actually be available to buy—“due to wholesale production restraints on [Manolo Blahnik’s] end,” the rep said.
“J.Crew was one of the most exciting shows during Fashion Week and we were thrilled to be part of it,” said Manolo Blahnik president George Malkemus in a statement. “Although we were looking forward to the potential collaboration between our two brands, we both came to the conclusion that fall wasn’t the right time. We hope to do something together in the future.”
Ah, well. At least we've got Altuzarra for J. Crew to keep us satisfied... for now.
