The venerable Dame Vivienne Westwood is paying her respects to another distinguished Englishwoman.
In honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee—that would be the June celebration marking 60 years of her reign—Westwood has created a red carpet capsule collection of dresses. In silk satin, taffeta, crepe de chine and georgette, the collection includes a slew of royal-worthy gowns with the designer’s signature touch (notice the Union Jack flag print?).

“My clothes allow you to project your personality, and are quite theatrical in the sense that they are real clothes, well-designed, and they give you a chance to express yourself.,” said Westwood in a release. “They are also inviting—people respond to them and want to come and talk to you.”
Something tells us Jubilee commentator Karl Lagerfeld will have a lot less to snark about if everyone turns up in these gorgeous creations…
