Karl Lagerfeld Designing VIP Helicopters
After staging an airplane-themed runway show for Chanel Spring 2012 Couture, it looks like Karl Lagerfeld is ready to fly the friendly skies once again.
In his latest unlikely collaboration, the multitasking designer is teaming up with AgustaWestland to design interiors and exteriors for their fleet of VIP helicopters, Women's Wear Daily reports.
The Anglo-Italian company says that Lagerfeld's “creativity and sophisticated style” will allow it to “introduce a new, limited-edition, customized solution" for its twin-turbine, 15-passenger AW139 helicopters, while design projects for more commercial models may emerge down the road.
