Tod's Spring 2012 campaign face, Anne Hathaway.
Derek Lam’s departure from Tod’s earlier this month isn’t the only transition the Italian house will have to make this year. Dorino Della Valle, the son of Tod’s founder Filippo Della Valle, has died, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
Della Valle was 87. He passed away in Cassette d’Ete, the Italian town where the company is based.
Diego Della Valle, Dorino’s son, helms the company—which included the brands Hogan, Fay, and Roger Vivier under the Tod’s Group umbrella—today, along with his brother, Andrea Della Valle.
A successor for Lam has yet to be named.
