Tom Ford’s Fall 2012 Collection Revealed

Good things come to those who wait ... and boy, have we waited.

After relying on stars like Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lawrence to offer a glimpse at Tom Ford's latest wares, we've finally got our first full look at the elusive Fall 2012 collection via a just-released video lookbook. Success!

Ford's flair for sultry glamour is in full effect here, with slinky belted jersey dresses and femme fatale-ish leather skirts that seem destined for former muse Carine Roitfeld's wardrobe.

Indeed, Roitfeld is just the sort of strong and sexy power player best suited to Ford's slim-cut tailoring, sheer inserts, and sharp details like zippered hems, chainmail-effect bibs, oversized gold hardware, and the odd safety pin, though a black velvet-sleeved number and Gwyneth's winter-white Oscar gown show a softer touch.

Ford also indulged his animal instincts with an abundance of fur coats (in Technicolor red and yellow) and animal skin, turning out python knee-high boots (some with gold-dipped heels), fitted leather jackets, and a standout croc ensemble.

And let's not forget that to-die-for gold snakeskin evening gown. We'll no doubt be seeing it in countless fashion editorials to come ... if, alas, not our own closet.
