Harper’s Bazaar U.K. Editor Lucy Yeomans Joins Net-A-Porter
It’s a day of high-profile departures!
Lucy Yeomans, the beloved editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar U.K., is leaving her post at the magazine after 12 years—to join Net-A-Porter as the luxe e-commerce site's editor in chief.
"The media landscape is evolving radically and Net-A-Porter has a global readership of over 3.5 million women who demand the very best edit of luxury fashion worldwide,” Yeomans told the Telegraph. “Net-A-Porter has redefined the way women read about and consume fashion. I am looking forward to working with some of the very best talent in the industry and to creating truly inspiring content."

Yeomans is credited with turning the U.K. edition of Bazaar from a society-focused magazine to a revered high fashion book, upping the glossy’s circulation by 38 percent in her 12 years on the job. In 2007, she won the Editor’s Editor awards from the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME), and even inspired rumors several years ago that she might decamp to the States to take over Bazaar U.S. (Luckily for Glenda Bailey, that rumor proved unfounded.)
Yeomans will report to Net-A-Porter managing director Alison Loehnis and founder and CEO Natalie Massenet. Until her replacement at Bazaar is named, Jenny Dickinson will be the acting editor of the title.
