Franca Sozzani.
She’s the editor in chief of Italian Vogue, but Franca Sozzani’s about to get one very French honor.
On March 13, Sozzani will be awarded the Legion of Honor by President Nicolas Sarkozy, Women’s Wear Daily reports. She’s less than a year behind American Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, who received her award in July.
The Legion of Honor is one of the highest distinctions a civilian can be awarded in France. Other fashion figures who’ve received the award include Bill Cunningham, Ralph Lauren, Bernard Arnault, Karl Lagerfeld, Paco Rabanne, and John Galliano, among many others.
