Gap Pure v-neck tee, $29; pocket sweater, $58; and racerback tank, $24.

In the never-ending quest for the perfect tee, different women take different tacks. Some swear by those boys’ Hanes three-packs ($7.50), while others favor the decidedly upscale versions by the likes of The Row ($290).

For those who prefer something on the former’s end of the price spectrum but skewing towards the latter when it comes to drape and feel, Gap has graciously stepped in with its brand-new Pure line.

The collection, which was revealed Thursday night with a celebratory dinner at ABC Kitchen in New York, includes slightly oversized and perfectly drapey pocket tees, racerback tanks, raglan sleeve tees, and a dreamy dolman-sleeve tunic knit with a touch of cashmere for serious coziness (this writer may have found her new favorite).

The colors are basic—black, white, gray, navy, with a few shots of cobalt blue and violet—and details are minimal, which means you’re really, really going to have a hard time coming up with reasons to wear anything else.

The collection, which retails from $24 to $68, is available now at Gap.com, and launches in stores on Monday, February 6.
