Glam squad: Rooney Mara, Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Elizabeth Olsen, Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Felicity Jones, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling rock pastel satin gowns.

Vanity Fair is continuing its tradition of rounding up a handful of up-and-comers for its annual Hollywood Issue, though, with three Oscar nominations between them, "up-and-comer" may not do 2012's bevy of beauties justice.

Self-proclaimed Zoolander fan Rooney Mara is more Louise Brooks than Lisbeth Salander in a petal pink satin halter-neck gown and stark black bob for the opulent Art Deco-inspired shoot with famed photographer Mario Testino.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star shares the coveted first panel of the fold-out cover with Miu Miu face Mia Wasikowska, Hunger Games heroine Jennifer Lawrence, and Jessica Chastain, all of whom rock retro curls, slinky gowns, and the odd feather boa.

The boudoir-style shoot also features a who's who of the past year's breakout actresses, from Sundance darling Elizabeth Olsen to Dolce & Gabbana beauty ambassador Felicity Jones, plus Adepero Oduye, Shailene Woodley, Paula Patton, Lily Collins, and Brit Marling.

Looking good, ladies! The Great Gatsby wardrobe department seriously has its work cut out for it.
