Miranda Kerr As Wonder Woman on Grazia Australia
Wonder Woman on Grazia Australia.
Some might say that modeling for Balenciaga just two months after giving birth is a total superhero move, but now Miranda Kerr is taking it up a notch by posing as Wonder Woman for a collectors' edition of Grazia Australia.
Billed as "Australia's Wonder Woman," the Victoria's Secret Angel proudly holds her country's flag as she gets into character via a custom-made bodysuit from designer Alex Perry paired with blue suede pumps, wide cuffs, and a gold headpiece adorning her sculpted waves.
Inside, the stunner also drapes the cape-like flag over her body in honor of Australia Day.
"We’re taking a risk–because Wonder Woman is a globally recognized icon and not just anyone could pull it off," the magazine's fashion director Thelma McQuillan says of the Chris Colls-lensed shoot.
"But Miranda is an Australian icon herself. She’s the star who, time and time again, our readers say they most admire; a businesswoman, a wife, a mum. She is our wonder woman. And she has the presence to pull this recreation off.”
Kerr, who McQuillan says "broke into a big smile" when she saw her Wonder Woman outfit, can be seen recalling her childhood Australia Day traditions (building rafts to float down the river) and praising Australian designers in a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot.
Sounds like we know who the real wizard of Oz is!
