Miranda Kerr Celebrates Birthday at Victoria’s Secret Shoot
Miranda Kerr’s recent Victoria’s Secret photo shoot was truly a cause for celebration. Not only was it her first time modeling for the lingerie label since delivering son Flynn in January, but it was also her birthday!
Photographer Russell James captured the momentous occasion in a serious of behind-the-scenes shots he posted on Facebook.
"Not sure if it was the spring affect, however, lot of great laughs and energy in the shoot this week for Victoria’s Secret. Was great to welcome Miranda Kerr back for her first shoot since giving birth to her beautiful little boy. AND was Miranda’s birthday," he wrote of Kerr, who turned 28 on April 20.
James’s photos of the stunning Aussie beauty include a smoldering close-up that highlights her piercing blue eyes and lush lips as well as a waist-down shot of her in pink panties and Angel wings, naturally.
“Great to be shooting Miranda Kerr again—hard to believe she had Flynn just a few months ago!” James writes, adding, “For those of you who think those wings just stay on magically, the magic is named Linda Rodin, who finesses them constantly. Miranda Kerr wears them well, I have to say.”
Fellow VS stunners Erin Heatherton and Candice Swanepoel also got in on the fun. Besides mugging for the camera, Swanepoel tried her hand at being assistant digital tech (“She had way to much attitude so we had to send her back to modeling for Victoria’s Secret,” says James), while Heatherton had a laugh playing with the stylist’s pooch Winkle.
But the sweetest snapshot of the day shows the crew presenting the birthday girl with a baked treat. Writes James, “Our great friends at the studio brought in a spectacular cake and hand-drawn sign for Miranda Kerr on her birthday.”
We’ll never know what Kerr was thinking about when she blew out her candles, but considering that she’s married to Orlando Bloom and is mom to an adorable baby boy, we’d say she already got her wish.
