Gisele’s Versace Étoile de la Mer Eyewear Ad Campaign
Cindy Crawford's 10-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber may be the Versace darling du jour, but the fashion house has called on a more established model for its brand-new Étoile de la Mer ad campaign.
In a sort of follow-up to her beyond-sexy Spring 2012 fashion ads for the label, Gisele Bündchen models the latest eyewear offerings—comprised of one optical frame style and two sunglasses, including the red-tinted version pictured—while sporting wet, slicked-back hair and a studded starfish-print number.
As with her main Versace ads, Gisele's blue-washed shoot was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott at an abandoned swimming pool in the California desert. No wonder it's so scorching-hot!
"Gisele was the perfect choice for this campaign," Donatella Versace says in a press statement.
"Her beauty is so bold in these images and she radiates true strength and sensuality. As an iconic beauty, she is also the perfect fit for the Étoile de la Mer eyewear collection. The images of her in the collection are stunning and powerful. This is exactly the vision I had when I started the design process."
Look for the Étoile de la Mer range to hit stores in March. As for Gisele? Well, she may be a tad harder to track down.
Meanwhile, Versace's Cruise 2012 collection for H&M has already sold out. Sob.
