Anna Wintour to Receive Ally for Equality Award
She’ll no doubt be in full-on Fashion Week mode, but Anna Wintour will make time to celebrate her latest achievement on February 4.
The Vogue editor is being honored with the Ally for Equality award from the Human Rights Campaign, an organization working for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights.
"We recognize Anna Wintour for her grace, dignity, style, philanthropy, and generosity," said HRC President Joe Solmones, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
"We are proud to honor her with the Ally for Equality Award for her commitment to the LGBT community through her work with marriage equality, HIV/AIDS activism, and the It Gets Better Campaign."
Wintour, who recorded a testimonial video supporting marriage equality last year, will be presented with her award by Glee creator Ryan Murphy at a New York City banquet.
