Sofia Vergara Dances in Diet Pepsi Commercial – First Look
It's pretty hard to top a cameo from David Beckham (we mean, c'mon), but Diet Pepsi is hoping that Sofia Vergara's dance moves will do the trick.
Though the full-length version of the Modern Family star's latest commercial for Diet Pepsi (dubbed, appropriately enough, Sofia's Dance) won't air until the Golden Globes on January 15, we've got a behind-the-scenes preview of her hip-shaking action as she hits a South Beach nightclub.
Directed by McG, the spot sees the CoverGirl ambassador sporting long waves, a sexy strapless blue dress, silver heels, and white hoop earrings as she tries to navigate her way through a crowd of dancing suitors so she can get her hands on a tall, dark, and handsome stranger (spoiler: it's a can of Diet Pepsi).
"It's amazing for me to part of the Diet Pepsi commercial," the Kmart designer says in the video. "It's a lot of dancing and music, a lot of going around in a nightclub in Miami ... I think it's really a surprise for everybody."
Having made her first appearance in a Diet Pepsi commercial at age 17, Vergara now gets the chance to show off her killer moves, including a spin on the dance floor with her favorite beverage.
We'd still probably go for Beckham, but everyone has their type ...
