Knife-Resistant Clothing for Taxi Drivers
Good news, taxi drivers: The PPSS Group has designed a line of "slash-resistant" shirts especially for you.
The bad news? You have a job in which knife attacks are considered an occupational hazard.
Offering the "highest level of cut protection," the range includes gray and black windbreakers, sweatshirts, and gloves. What, no taxi cab yellow or checkered prints?
"We believe that our protective garments will help protect taxi drivers, who often work alone at night, dealing with potentially hostile and intoxicated members of the public," the brand, which also sells bulletproof vests, says in a press statement.
Hopefully the shirts will free drivers up to focus on other matters ... like potholes, gridlock, and couples who think they're on an episode of Taxi Cab Confessions.
Now, how does one protect themselves from a stiletto-wielding killer?
