The shoes may be B, but the ads are definitely rated X.
B Brian Atwood’s Fall 2011 ad campaign cranks up the heat—and then some—thanks to a steamy session at New York City’s Hôtel Plaza Athénée and, of course, some ridiculously hot heels.
Lensman Marc Hom snapped the sultry, voyeuristic images inspired by the 1981 film Body Heat. Also set at the Beekman Apartments, the ads see a toned and tattooed Casanova engaged in a romantic tryst with a leggy Kathleen Turner-type who sports the diffusion line’s covetable metallic booties, red fringe stilettos, black pumps, and knee-high boots, plus some fishnets and a sheer lace bustier.

B still our hearts: The diffusion line features, um, shoes with plenty of sizzle.
While the lovers scrawl lipstick hearts on the mirrors and sprawl their legs over one another, a certain familiar face—Atwood himself, who will be hosting a trunk show at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City on August 18 and 19—spying on them from the elevator.
“An affair is nothing without a witness—that’s how the great stories start,” Stacy Lastrina, chief marketing officer of The Jones Group Inc., tells Women’s Wear Daily. “It’ll take a minute for people to realize that it’s Brian, but we always knew he’d be in it.”
