Material Girl Adding Beauty, Denim, Innerwear Ranges
Fall 2011 collection—denim!
Madonna’s little Material Girl is growing up.
For Fall 2011, the mega-star and her daughter Lola are expanding their Macy's fashion line to include its first-ever beauty range as well as new product categories like denim, sleepwear, intimates, outerwear, and party dresses.
The updated offerings—as seen on spokesmodel Kelly Osbourne in the just-released campaign—will see the introduction of “social dresses” ($59 to $79) boasting glam details like sequins and feathers; 20 denim styles ($29.50 to $32.50) encompassing everything from acid wash to flares; faux shearling-trimmed bomber jackets and cape coats ($59.50 to $89.50); and slumber party-ready pieces like tanks and boxers ($14 to $22).
And parents need not worry about any cone bras with Madonna’s new intimates line. Instead, the collection, priced from $5 to $29, will feature a selection of “feminine” undergarments along with bodysuits, thongs, and boy shorts.
Material Girl Beauty, meanwhile, will include sugary-sweet scented body lotions, washes, and mists along with lip glosses and nail polishes bearing names such as Sinful Sugar, Midnight Magnolia, Wicked Watermelon, and Flirty Fruit. Priced from $7 to $12, the collection will launch eye palettes later in the season.

Mouthing off: Material Girl will soon offer beauty including lip gloss.
Look for most of the new goodies to hit Macy’s by August 15, with social dresses slated for September 15 and outerwear arriving in the department store on October 15. Hey, we are living in a material world.
