Mulberry’s Fall 2011 Ad Campaign Video
Mulberry continues its run of surreal, storybook videos for its just-released Autumn/Winter 2011 ad campaign.
In a bookend to the spring video, this short film also weaves through an English manor house, where models Tatiana Cotliar and Julia Saner pose in a woodsy dreamscape. Giant birds’ eggs, twigs, and feathers crowd among the velvet armchairs and chandeliers.
Owls and foxes blink at the girls, while animated berries and thistles bloom around them. Fittingly enough, Miike Snow’s song “Animal” plays while the creatures flash by.
This Roald Dahl-meets-Wes Anderson look dovetails with the season’s runway show, which was inspired by British country sports and the book Fantastic Mr. Fox.
The camera sweeps in on the covetable coats and purses, with their luxury-outdoorsy touches. Look, for instance, for the new fox-face rivets or “fox locks” on the bags. You’ll also glimpse pleated shirtdresses, quilted details, and duffel coats over glimmering gold lamé.
With temptations like these, it’s little wonder that Mulberry is a prized fashion quarry.
