Reed Krakoff on Resort, His Wife, and Embracing Challenges

TheLookNow’s inexhaustible Harriet Mays Powell is (like us!) still making the Resort 2012 rounds, and her latest designer drop-in video is with Reed Krakoff—whose resort collection is only the fifth collection since he launched his eponymous line.
From chunky Lucite heels to sparkling snake-effect finishes, the collection has a more playful vibe than some of Krakoff’s past offerings; “There’s a lot more color, a lot more femininity, [and] a lot of playing with proportions,” says Krakoff, who reveals that his wife Delphine serves as both a “touchstone and a reference point” when he designs.
