Mango Thanks Its 2 Million Facebook Fans with New Video

It seems Kate Moss may have stolen a few hearts with that new Mango campaign video in which she plays a robber. Days after the mini movie premiered, the Spanish retailer’s Facebook page reached 2 million fans.

Now, Mango—which recently tapped Isabeli Fontana as its new face—is showing its appreciation by giving the thumbs-up to its legion of followers via a video called “Two Million Thanks.”

“Mango once again wishes to remain alongside its fans and share with them moments and sensations such as friendship, optimism, seduction, fun, enthusiasm and sensuality,” the company said in a statement. “Consequently, ‘Two Million Thanks’ is almost a poetic work, created by hand. Over 70 percent of the video was created using handmade objects, adopting a craft trend which is very fashionable at the moment, rather than ‘machine’ solutions, in order to rediscover the initial magic of cinema and theatre.”

Accompanied by a melody composed for the occasion, the video—recorded in both English and Spanish—shows an instant camera, constructed from paper, producing a photo of stylish female friends; a giant smiling face being formed from two dotted shirtdresses and a large bolt of fabric; a stitched muslin dress transforming into a gorgeous orange creation; and white balloons bursting and spreading pink confetti over a white-paper cityscape.

“We made it thanks to you,” says the narrator of the video, which appears on Mango’s Facebook and YouTube pages. “Thank you for your friendship, and so many shared moments. Thank you for always being ready with a smile. Thank you for attracting glances. Thank you for coloring our world. Thank you for liking us. We like you too.”

Stop, we’re blushing!
