Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest Rolls Out

Getting creative with toilet paper could have you flush with money.

Is two-ply the new black?

First photos emerged revealing royal maid of honor Pippa Middleton wearing a mock strapless wedding dress made out of toilet paper. Then Victoria Beckham tweeted a photo of herself donning a TP creation during her May 7 baby shower.

And if that doesn't tempt you to bust out the Charmin, perhaps a $1,000 grand prize will. Susan Bain, Roxie Radford, and Laura Gawne of Cheap Chic Weddings are looking for wannabe Sarah Burtons and Vera Wangs to submit their finest TP creations for its Seventh Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest.

Running until June 17, the competition requires that designers use only toilet paper, a needle and thread, tape, or glue for their flushable fashions. Previous winners have included a Scarlett O'Hara–worthy gown with matching hat to a sexy one-shoulder number with a plunging bustier-style bodice.

"We are extremely excited about this year's contest and look forward to seeing all of the creative entries," Gawne said in a press release. "They never cease to amaze us!"

Winners will be announced July 7, with second-place taking home $500 and third-place winning $250.

To enter, submit digital photos (front, back and sides) of your design worn by a model or mannequin to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

And while you're at Costco to pick up your bulk supply of TP, you might want to swing by their wedding dress section for some bridal inspiration!
